Ibrahim Halawa’s Lawyers to meet Oireachtas Committee

It is understood that at a private hearing this morning the Joint Committee on Foreign Affairs has confirmed their intention to invite Ibrahim’s legal team before a session in September. It is timely that such a request has been acceded to, in light of the deeply troubling recent developments. We, as Ibrahim’s legal team, wish to thank the Committee for their kind invitation and in turn to publicly confirm our intention to appear before the session, in what we hope will be a constructive engagement in working towards the joint objective of securing Ibrahim’s release.
