Submission to Commissioner for Human Rights – Dunja Mijatovic

With the impending departure from the EU, we were delighted to be invited by Martina Anderson MEP to join a delegation of families denied access to justice through the failure by the State to comply with its obligations under article 2 ECHR.

Martina secured crucial meetings with the new Commissioner for Human Rights, Dunja Mijatović and also with the office for the supervision of the executions of judgments, the European body responsible to ensure that the British Government complies with its international obligations.

The families in attendance represented many of the Time for Truth group who convened the assembly of 10,000 people in February protesting that their rights to access to justice were not being protected in accordance with the European Convention on Human Rights.
