Complaint by Fiona Donohoe to the Police Ombudsman

We can confirm that as outlined at today’s preliminary hearing, we have lodged a complaint on our client’s behalf with the Office of the Police Ombudsman.

The 77 page complaint can be generally characterised as follows:

  1. That the investigation into her son’s disappearance has not been efficiently and properly carried out.

  1. That the police made an early and determinative conclusion that there was no foul play in Noah’s disappearance and have resolutely and defensively maintained that position to the exclusion of other investigative lines of enquiry, including criminal assault.

  1. That no earnest effort was made to identify persons who are reported to have assaulted Noah on 21 June 2020.

  1. That police mismanaged physical exhibits (forensic, biological and CCTV) to the detriment of the investigation.
